About
The International Linguist Kangaroo In English
EduMeter Egypt is the official representative and organizer of The International Linguist Kangaroo (ILK) Contest – English in Egypt and The Middle East.
It is one of the largest international competitions in the English language. It is held in many countries of the world that use English as a second language and target students from grade 1 to grade 12.
• The questions of the tests are organised on Six levels of competence addressed to students. These tests are designed based on The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
What is the CEFRL?
CEFRL is an abbreviation of the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment". In language teaching, different European countries used many different syllabuses. So, the Council of Europe decided to create a Framework, it describes what people can actually do in the language. The "Global scales" have three levels, and each level is divided into two stages.

• The International Linguist Kangaroo (ILK) Contest – English is based on a multiple choice system Online. Participating students are divided into levels by grade

- Exams are organized and managed electronically online.
- All exams are monitored electronically (cases of cheating will be excluded).
- The exam terms and instructions apply to the calculation of grades.
Contest Instructions
- Students enrolled in pre-university education can be enrolled from grade 1 to grade 12.
- Paying the participation fee of 350 LE.
- Participation in the name of the school where the student is enrolled.
- The student should not be more than 19 years old (for technical education schools)
Awards
Honorary medals for the first three places ; the first, the second and the third place .
Excellence e-certificates for all the participants who got 50% and above.
Participation e-certificates for all participants.
NB:
The e-certificate will be on the student’s private account on the company’s website and the student has the right to download, print or keep it.

A: The exam time is 60 minutes for each level.
A: Upon enrollment, the schools that meet the governing criteria are identified.
A: The school will be notified of its selection as a test center by sending an email to the school.
